Education and Experience: Master's degree and one year of relevant university experience; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; strong oral and communication skills; demonstrated commitment to student success. Computer experience working with BANNER ADMIN, DARS, COGNOS, WINGS Express, and Microsoft Word/Excel/Access. Experience working in Student Services area and familiarity with Wright State University Academic Policies and Procedures. Preferred: Minimum two years of experience working with first and/or second year students in a higher education setting. Working Conditions: Weekend and evening hours for planned projects related to the scope of work responsibilities. Position Description: Assist the FYE Director with planning and delivery of the First Weekend program-activities for approximately 2500 entering first year students; assisting with the creation of materials, managing budget and securing external fundings, collaborating with others within and outside the University College to provide program of highest quality. Provide new programming to sustain the momentum of First Weekend by initiating and implementing additional programs across the first quarter of the academic year, and the first two quarters of students' second year of matriculation. Take primary responsibilities with the communication and Early Alert systems to contact and track students for UC assessment and retention reports. Teach sections of the Phoenix program PASS. Provide year-round training and supervision of student-leaders and work-study students assisting with first year and second year programs. Advise assigned UC students.
