Education and Experience:   Doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related area and a record that warrants appointment as a full professor.  This record must include excellence in both research and teaching, and leadership experience in program development and administration.   

Preferred:  The ability to provide leadership in a cooperative, supportive collegial environment, experience with undergraduate and graduate programs, sensitivity to students, good interpersonal skills, and effective communication with scientific, industrial, and urban educational communities.

Position Description:   

Oversee department operations.

Oversee programs.

Teaching and research.

Oversee personnel decisions.

Facilitate and support research activities of faculty.  Schedule and lead faculty meetings.

Act as department liaison.
