Education and Experience:   

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely-related discipline, qualifications for a tenured appointment as Professor in the department, and an active, internationally recognized, externally funded research program in a complementary field of chemistry. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal skills and provide inspiring leadership that will enhance the department's profile in the areas of research, teaching, and extramural funding.


Position Description:   

Administrative Efforts:

  • Oversee department operations.

  • Oversee personnel decisions.

  • Oversee programs.

  • Facilitate and support research activities of faculty.

  • Act as department liaison.

  • Schedule and lead faculty meetings.

Teaching: Teach in courses offered by the Chemistry Department at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Research: Establish and maintain an active, internationally recognized, externally funded research program.
