Delta Dental Plan
The university provides dental coverage through Delta Dental Plan of Ohio. This coverage provides benefits for covered services from any dentist. Benefits are greater with lower out-of-pocket costs for services provided by a Delta Preferred Option network dentist. Dentists who are part of the Delta Preferred Option network or the Delta Premier network have agreed not to “balance bill” the patient for any fee greater than that allowed by Delta Dental Plan of Ohio.
Bargaining-Unit Faculty members who enroll for medical coverage are automatically enrolled for dental coverage for the same eligible dependents as for medical coverage. There is no additional employee contribution for dental coverage. There is no option to enroll for only dental coverage for Bargaining-Unit Faculty members.
Non-Bargaining-Unit Faculty members, Classified and Unclassified staff that enroll for medical coverage are not automatically enrolled for dental coverage. Employees may elect coverage for themself only, themself and one dependent, or themself and two or more dependents. There is an additional employee contribution for dental coverage.
