Vision Service Plan
The university provides vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP). This coverage provides benefits for covered services from any optometrist or ophthalmologist. Benefits are greater with lower out-of-pocket costs for services provided by a VSP network provider.
Bargaining-Unit Faculty members who enroll for medical coverage are automatically enrolled for vision coverage for the same eligible dependents as for medical coverage. There is no additional employee contribution for vision coverage. There is no option to enroll for vision coverage only for Bargaining-Unit Faculty members.
Non-Bargaining-Unit Faculty members, Classified and Unclassified staff that enroll for medical coverage are not automatically enrolled for vision coverage. Employees may elect coverage for themself only, themself and one dependent, or themself and two or more dependents. There is an additional employee contribution for vision coverage.
