Buy Out Agreement

* Buy out request is for students living in Hamilton Hall, Honors or the Woods only *

Students may request to have their room converted to a reduced occupancy for the rest of the academic year. Residence Services reserves the right to approve or disapprove requests as necessary due to occupancy management concerns. In the event of an emergency, these agreements can be nullified at the discretion of the Housing Office. By completing and submitting this form, the student agrees to have the reduced occupancy room charge added to their Bursar's account. This fee is prorated if the move occurs after the current semester begins.

All furniture must remain in the current room with the exception of the extra bed and mattress which will be removed by the facilities staff. This would allow you to have extra dresser, desk and wardrobe space.

Buyouts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residence Services reserves the right to approve or disapprove requests as necessary due to available spaces.

I understand that my room charge will increase and an additional charge will be added to my Bursar’s account. I agree to pay the increased rate for the semester(s). I understand that I have 48 hours to respond once my request is approved. You will need to contact your Community Director to complete and approve the buyout.
