Hey 1st Oak! I’m Rachel Brame, and I am your 2009-2010 RA. I am a junior majoring in Biological Sciences with Pre-med intent, and this is my second year as an RA. At WSU, I’m involved in Middle Eastern Dance, Biology Club, Catholic Campus Ministry, Student Honors Association (SHA), National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and the Student Judicial Review Board.
Some of the best places to get involved on campus are the Residential Life organizations, and running for election in the Woods Community Council is the easiest way to make a difference in the area around you. The people who are active in residence life tend to become the leaders of major student orgs on campus… so meet as many people as you can!
Living on campus at Wright State will strongly influence how you view your college experience. You will have a blast at programs put on by your awesome RAs (there’s always free food!), you will learn to live on your own, and you will meet some of your best friends for life.
My advice to you all: be prepared to work hard, play hard, and study hard… you are here to educate yourself, but you might as well make it fun!
I can’t wait to meet you all, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at brame.5@wright.edu |
