Welcome to 2nd Cedar my name is Christopher Huelsman (call me Chris or Christopher, doesn’t matter) and I’ll be your Resident Assistant for the 2009-2010 school year. This will be my fourth year at Wright State University but my second as an R.A. and I’m looking forward to it. I am an Integrated Sciences Education major here at Wright State (it’s just a fancy way of saying I can teach high school sciences). I’ve lived in the Honors Community and University Park, but this will be my first year in the Woods, and I’m absolutely excited about it.
I’m from a small town in Mercer County called Chickasaw and I graduated from Marion Local High School in Maria Stein. During high school, I attended Post Secondary at Wright State’s Lake Campus. Currently, in addition to being an RA, I’m working in a research lab on campus for the department of organic chemistry, and am writing a weekly blog for the Office of Admissions. I highly encourage you to check it out and follow it; I’m hoping to fill it with great tips for both new and returning students.
In my spare time, which seems to be disappearing (hmmm…), I like to read, go play a few rounds on some video games, and I’m a big movie buff. I absolutely love movies, I probably have 150+ in my collection.
Last, if you have any questions, or would just like to chat, don’t be afraid to email me at huelsman.16@wright.edu, give me a call at 937-775-6472, or stop by my room (I don’t bite, I promise, Scout’s Honor). I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have, whether it be about housing, the campus, or just some schoolwork (as long as it is science, if it’s English, I can point you in the direction of an English major).
I’m looking forward to a great year and the start of what should be a great adventure.
