Travis Loveday

Community Director
The Village Apartments and University Park

775-2086
travis.loveday@wright.edu

Hey everyone! My name is Travis Loveday, and I am the Community Director for University Park and The Village apartments. I am originally from Sevierville, Tennessee, but I feel like I am an honorary resident of Ohio since there were always 1, 000, 000 people from Ohio on vacation in East Tennessee every year.

I graduated from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN in 2006 after I finished up my five year plan. I like to think that I enjoyed college so much that I wanted to stay another year. Switching majors doesn’t always help speed up the college experience. I came to college thinking that I wanted to major in business and later learned that education was really my passion. After it was all said and done, I earned a Bachelors of Arts in History and also completed my teaching certification for grades 7-12. Soon after graduation I married my wife, Rebecca, and we have been living happily ever after.

While an undergrad at Carson-Newman, I served as a Resident Assistant for two and a half years, split between a traditional residence hall and the on-campus apartments. I enjoyed my job as an RA so much I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in Student Affairs. I was offered a position at my alma mater as a Residence Life Coordinator and have been there for the last two years, again split between a traditional residence hall and the on-campus apartments.

I am really excited to join the Wright State community this year. I encourage each of you to be involved in campus activities and organizations. My staff and I are here to help you get the most out of your college experience, so if there is anything we can do to help you or our community, please let us know.

Feel free to contact me via email (travis.loveday@wright.edu), by phone at (937) 775-2086, or drop by the University Park Community Office. I look forward to meeting all of you.
