Greetings Residents,
My name is Ryan Masin, the Resident Assistant for First Hawthorn, and I hope you are all ready for a fun and exciting year at Wright State University. Whether this is your first, second or even fifth year experience at WSU, it is my sincere hope that I can help make it a most enjoyable one. I have been coordinating and planning programs that will take place this year: Fundraisers, Smashing Pumpkins II, Wright Top Model, and many others. In addition to my role as a RA, I will be acting as an assistant advisor to the Woods’ Community Council, a social programming organization that is always looking for up-and-coming leaders.
As for me, this will be my final year at Wright State University and my fourth as a Resident Assistant (formerly Community Advisor). I have had many opportunities as a leader, going to regional and national conferences, being elected as the President of the National Residence Hall Honorary, as well as involvement other honoraries. I am an honors student who will be graduating with a degree in Management Information Systems, which is an interesting choice considering my intended pursuit of Student Affairs in graduate School. In my spare time (which I an finding harder and harder to come by), I am always up for a game of volleyball, basketball, a good bike ride on or off the pavement, a few rounds of Halo, or simple run around campus.
With the school year fast approaching, I hope you all enjoy the remainder of your summer. Be sure to get excited for this fall. If you have any questions about the university, how you can get involved, what to expect, or even just to chat, please feel free to email me at masin.2@wright.edu or shoot me a message on AOL Instant Messenger at themason9 . See you soon!
