Mission Statement

The Office of Residence Services actively pursues the mission of Wright State University.  By effectively utilizing resources, we offer quality student-centered program, services, and facilities.  Through a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment, we intentionally provide opportunities and challenges to foster student growth and learning.

Vision Statement (Residence Life)

We are committed to our students at differing levels, to their academic success, to their personal development, and to their leadership development. In collaboration with our students and through meaningful assessment and research, we create programs to meet their needs. We build connections between all members of the university community in order to promote a healthy living, learning, and teaching environment for our students. We support and provide oppression reduction initiatives and promote a celebration of all people. We assist in the creation and maintenance of safe, purposeful, comfortable, and clean spaces for the personal and academic growth of our students.

President's Award for Excellence

The Office of Residence Services is honored to be the co-recipient of the 1998 & 2003 President's Award for Excellence in the category of Outstanding Collaborative Units.  We graciously share this award with CaTS (Computing and Telecommunications Services) in 1998 and many other departments involved with Student Affairs in 2003.

Residence Services Scholarship Fund

The Office of Residence Services has also set up a scholarship fund. Scholarships will be awarded to students on an annual basis in recognition of campus leadership and involvement.
