As a WSU Ruckus subscriber, you're not limited to 30-second samples, with Ruckus
you can select and listen to full tracks or entire CDs in high-quality stereo.
You can even download an unlimited number of individual tracks or entire CDs to your PC.
Your music is stored on your computer hard drive, and you can listen to it
whenever or wherever you want without connecting to the Internet.
These downloaded tracks are referred to as tethered downloads because
they are attached (or tethered) to your PC. You cannot burn these tracks to a
CD or transfer them to a portable player or to someone else's PC. You can,
however, copy them to an additional PC that you own. While you do not actually
own the tracks that you download, you can keep them and listen to them as long
as you are a subscriber to Ruckus.
You can purchase a track for just $0.89 or a full album for $9.99. These purchased
tracks are yours forever and you can burn them to CD or transfer them to a portable
player. You continue to own these tracks even after you are no longer a Ruckus
subscriber.
WSU faculty, staff and alumni can also take advantage of the Ruckus service for
only $8.99/month. When you sign up for the service you will be asked for your
university affiliation. Remember, to take advantage of the discount offer,
you must sign up using your WSU email address.
