Ruckus, the free music service offered through Wright State University, will no longer be available. The service, which provided free and legal music downloads for WSU students, has apparently closed its doors. On the official Ruckus website (http://www.ruckus.net), a notice now states “Unfortunately the Ruckus Service Will No Longer Be Provided. Thanks.”

As a result of this unexpected closure, Wright State University is no longer able to provide a free music service to students. However, the marketplace for safe and legal music is diverse with offerings such as Apple's iTunes, Amazon, Napster and many others. The Groove website, which offered information on these services, has also been removed.
