For a given term, grant funds are disbursed no sooner than 10 days prior to the student's first attend date. Funds are applied directly to the student's account. If the student's account is paid in full and any Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant funds remain, the Office of the Bursar will issue the remaining grant funds to the student in the form of a refund. |
| *A student can receive the award maximum only once as a freshman and once as a sophomore, and a student may not receive Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant funds from more than one school at the same time. As a result, a student who receives a portion of their award maximum at another school may not qualify for their entire award maximum at WSU. A freshman is defined as a student who has between 0 and 44 undergraduate credit hours earned/transferred to WSU. A sophomore is defined as a student who has between 45 and 89 undergraduate credit hours earned/transferred to WSU. |
