Federal Student Aid (FSA) Programs

Professional students who meet the U.S. Department of Education's eligibility requirements can apply for employment and loans from the federal government. To apply, students must complete--on an annual basis--the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Wright State University as a school of choice (WSU's Title IV school code is 003078). The results of the student's FAFSA, along with the Wright State University's cost of attendance, will determine the student's eligibility for the all of the FSA Programs listed below. The FSA Programs available to graduate students include:

Federal Stafford Loans
Federal Graduate PLUS Loan

In addition to the FSA Programs above, students who submit their FAFSA by Wright State University's FAFSA priority deadline date--prior to the start of the next academic year--will be considered for the following FSA Campus-Based Programs:

  Federal Work-Study Program
  Federal Perkins Loan

Priority deadline dates are as follows:

Professional Psychology:
February 15
Medicine:
March 1

(For example, Professional Psychology students applying for federal student aid for the 2006-2007 aid year must file the FAFSA by February 15, 2006 to be considered for the FSA Campus-Based Programs.) The priority deadlines exists due to limited funding in the FSA Campus-Based Programs.

Note to Professional Psychology (SOPP) Students!
Incoming SOPP students should submit their FAFSA no later than April 15 or once accepted into the program. Continuing SOPP students should submit their FAFSA by the priority deadline. Students will be notified of financial aid eligibility by May 15 prior to the start of the upcoming academic year.
