Federal Student Aid (FSA) Programs

Graduate students who meet the U.S. Department of Education's eligibility requirements can apply for employment and loans from the federal government. To apply, students must complete--on an annual basis--the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Wright State University as a school of choice (WSU's Title IV school code is 003078). The results of the student's FAFSA, along with the Wright State University's cost of attendance, will determine the student's eligibility for the all of the FSA Programs listed below. The FSA Programs available to graduate students include:

Federal Stafford Loans
Federal Graduate PLUS Loan
In addition to the FSA Programs above, students who submit their FAFSA by Wright State University's FAFSA priority deadline date of February 15th--prior to the start of upcoming academic year--will be considered for the FSA Campus-Based Programs. (For example, students applying for federal student aid for the 2006-2007 aid year must file the FAFSA by February 15, 2006 to be considered for the FSA Campus-Based Programs.) The priority deadline exists due to limited funding in the following programs:
Federal Work-Study Program
Federal Perkins Loan
Federal Nursing Student Loan

State Aid Programs

Graduate students can also apply for fellowships and loans from the State of Ohio. Financial aid available to graduate students from the State of Ohio include:

Regents Graduate/Professional Fellowship Program
Nurse Educational Assistance Loan Program [Applications available from the College of Nursing and Health, (937) 775-3132.]

WSU Assistantships and Program Fellowships

Graduate/professional students can apply for WSU Graduate Assistantships and Program Fellowships through their department/program of study and the School of Graduate Studies. Terms and Conditions for Assistantships and Program Fellowships can be obtained from the School of Graduate Studies Policies and Procedures Manual.
