Infectious waste meeting the definition of hazardous waste due to its chemical properties or which is also radioactive must be managed differently than regular infectious waste. WSU personnel who generates chemically hazardous or radioactive infectious waste must contact EHS to determine proper treatment and disposal procedures.
As a generator, you shall segregate infectious waste from other waste at the point of generation.
Please ensure that you are aware of the current infectious waste management procedures by reading Wright State's Exposure Control Plan.
Post the Infectious Waste Reference Guide in your laboratory.
