All nomination materials, including letters of support, must be submitted by Friday, May 9, 2008 at 5 p.m.
Instructions for Nominators
- Determine which category is most appropriate for your nominee/unit.
- Submit an online nomination form, containing the e-mail addresses of three individuals who are willing to submit letters supporting your nomination.
- Answer the following questions (for the appropriate nomination category) in essay form (be specific and give examples):
- Individual Nomination:
- How long have you known the nominee (or unit) and in what capacity?
- In what ways does the nominee demonstrate the desired qualities in this category?
- How does the university benefit from the nominee's contributions in the selected category?
- How does this individual demonstrate excellence?
- Outstanding Unit:
- How long have you interacted with this unit and in what capacity?
- What do you see as this unit's primary objective?
- How does this unit achieve its objectives in an outstanding manner? Give specific examples of accomplishments, recognition, or projects to support the nomination.
- Outstanding Collaborative Unit
- How did you become familiar with the collaborative efforts of these units?
- How does this collaboration go beyond what is expected among all university units? Give specific examples.
- How has the university and/or the community benefited from the collaborative efforts of these units?
- Submit your essay online using the online form provided by selecting "Submit Nomination Letter" option from the Nomination main menu. Note: You will be prompted to login using your WSU username (w000xxx) and password.
Instructions for Supporters
- Answer the following questions in essay form:
- How long have you known the nominee (or unit) and in what capacity?
- Why should the nominee (or unit) be considered in the category for which he/she/unit was nominated?
- How does the university benefit from the nominee's contributions in the category?
- How does the nominee demonstrate excellence in ways not yet discussed?
- Submit your essay using the online form provided by selecting "Submit Letter of Support" option from the Nomination main menu. Note: You will be prompted to login using your WSU username (w000xxx) and password.
