Women's Center Winter Reading Selection

Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Noon to 1 pm
Women’s Center, 148 Millett
Current Students

Join us in the Women’s Center to discuss our Winter reading selection, The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. In her latest novel, Kingsolver “takes us on an epic journey from the Mexico City of artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo to the America of Pearl Harbor, FDR, and J. Edgar Hoover. The Lacuna is a poignant story of a man pulled between two nations as they invent their modern identities.” (From www.barbarakingsolver.com/) The Winter Quarter reading discussions continue the conversation about Barbara Kingsolver’s November 2011 acceptance of the Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award, a prestigious Dayton Literary Peace Prize.

Participants are welcome to attend one or both of the book discussions. Call or stop by the Women’s Center to reserve your spot and one of the limited books available for those committed to the Winter Reading discussion.
