Led by Greg Asman, Instructional Designer, CTL.  Grading rubrics are an essential assessment tool that helps instructors and students focus their attention on important aspects of an assignment. When given to students as they are beginning their assignments, it can also be a tool to help students produce higher quality work. This workshop will review what a rubric is, why you should use them, and best practices for using rubrics in the classroom. This workshop will review the benefits of using rubrics for evaluation and give an overview about how to create holistic and analytic rubrics in Pilot to evaluate your student’s assignments.
