Led by Greg Asman, Instructional Designer, CTL.  Pilot provides the groups tool to help facilitate group work within instructor’s classes whether they are traditional face-to-face classes, flipped or hybrid classes or in entirely online classes. The groups tool allows the instructor to define groups of students and provide them with tools to facilitate their work that are available to each group’s members including Discussions, Dropboxes and Lockers. This session provides an overview of groups and these tools as well as how to set up groups and give each group their own discussion forum, dropbox and lockers. Also covered in this session is using Release Conditions to make other resources and tools within Pilot available to groups of students such as content, quizzes, surveys, self assessments and grade items.
