Superman and Wonder Woman conjure up the images of superheroes--the Man of Steel and the Amazon Princess. However, Superman and Wonder Woman are also immigrants, who emigrated to the United States in the late 1930s and early 1940s. One arrived here as child and the other as adult, yet both became assimilated into American society and have become American icons.

Join comic book enthusiasts, fans, and scholars for a lively panel discussion that discusses Superman and Wonder Woman within the context of the immigrant experience as well as Marvel Comic's look at the immigrant experience in the post-9/11 United States through their series, Civil War.
