The Teaching for Student Success Symposium focuses on research and practices that promote student engagement and improve learning outcomes. The symposium is a showcase for best practices in teaching and learning at Wright State University, whether in the new active learning classrooms or elsewhere across campus. In addition to two keynote speakers, the symposium hosts roundtable and poster sessions led by diverse faculty from across the university. Ultimately, the symposium provides an opportunity to gain useful knowledge and skills, and to build relationships with faculty committed to transforming our students’ lives through teaching.

Are you considering redesigning a course to incorporate more activities that promote student engagement? Are you looking for practical advice on how to engage students and improve learning outcomes? Are you interested in discussing research concerning the challenges and rewards of active-learning pedagogy? Have you had success in engaging students in your courses and are eager to share your experiences with interested colleagues? This symposium is for you. Please join us as we share our collective knowledge and practices with the aim of fostering deeper learning in our students.
