Challenge yourself over spring break with a 29 mile loop through one of the most spectacular canyons in the world.  Elevation will range from 6,400FT on top of the South Rim down to 2200ft along the Colorado River.  Participants will carry a full backpack with personal and group gear, and travel along difficult and remote terrain.  We can expect cold evenings and warm days.  The trip includes 5 days and 4 nughts in the Canyon with a rest day at the bottom to enjoy the magnificent Colorado River.

 

Cost: $400.00

Cost includes: ORC Trip Leaders, transportation, all backpacking equipment, meals on location, park fees and permits, 2 nights in hotel.

Activity level: Intermediate-Advanced, must be able to hike independently on strenuous terrain while carrying up to 40lb backpack.  This trip is not appropriate for anyone with fear of heights/exposure.  This trip is strenuous.
