Led by Greg Asman, Instructional Designer, CTL. Pilot tools and courses are available for use beyond delivering materials for classroom and online courses. This session provides an overview of Pilot features that can be used to help deliver orientations, online training, facilitate departmental communication and provide collaboration space and will showcase a few examples of non-classroom uses here at WSU.  Some specific tools that will be covered in this session include self-registration, completion tracking, intelligent agents (automated emails,) release conditions, Classlists and sections, customizing the course Home Page and it’s widgets as well as customizing the standard navigation menus within the course. Participants will be provided with their own Pilot course to experiment with and explore Pilot’s features and can request another class for your desired use. Since all WSU faculty, staff and students already have Pilot accounts, giving access to your special Pilot course is as easy as adding them to your course’s classlist and assigning them a role.
