Each year, the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) declares a full week in April to be National Student Employment Week. At Wright State, the Student Employment program is part of Career Services, a member of NSEA.

Students are part of National Student Employment Week when they participate in the campus student employment program, supporting a wide variety of university operations and services.

Career Services encourages supervisors or groups to plan celebrations of their student employees during National Student Employment Week. Daily, individual recognitions, or one, large event, or a combination, are appropriate to honor students. Gifts of flowers, a group meal or gift certificates are one way to celebrate their efforts. An office event, a public notice, photos or posters announcing their accomplishments.

As a result of a nomination and selection process, Wright State University's Student Employee of the Year is honored during National Student Employment Week.
