This invited speaker session is part of the MIS 3840 Introduction to Business Data speaker series. No need to RSVP.

Mr. Paul Moorman will discuss the various challenges in collecting ​business data, why Data Warehouse exist and how, at a high-level, technologies have addressed the underlying need for performance.  He will also give some practical examples of how non-traditional data analysis tools can used to analyze and gain insights beyond what mainstream relational databases can deliver.

Mr. Paul Moorman is currently employed at Catalyst Paper Corporation, a leading manufacturer of coated and printing papers, as its Senior IT Strategist. Prior to Catalyst Paper, he spent over twenty-six years at NewPage, MeadWestvaco, Mead and Hobart Corporations. He served as Chief Technology Officer at MeadWestvaco, led the technology groups during Mead's ERP/SAP implementation and has held a variety of managerial and technical roles. Paul graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
