In Honor of Syrian Refugees: A Tribute Through Music, Photography and Dialogue

DR. SHELLEY JAGOW will lead the WSU Symphonic Band in a performance of Give Us This Day (from the Lord’s Prayer) by composer David Maslanka. The WSU Saxophone Quartet will perform a new commission by composer Hyekyung Lee titled Embrace. Benjamin J. Montague, Associate Professor in Photography, will present a photo documentary to accompany the music. Speakers who have worked in Syrian refugee camps will share their experiences. 

All lectures are free and open to the public

*Note for first-year Honors students: Fall 2017 first-year Honors students are required to attend one Dialogue during the 2017-2018 academic year to maintain priority registration status. Students not satisfying the Dialogue requirement will lose their priority registration status for one semester (Spring 2019). Look for the BLUE FOLDER to record your attendance on the sign-in sheet.
