University Honors Program, Departments of Religion, Philosophy & Classics, and Department of History Present a public lecture by Dr. David Holmes, Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies, College of William & Mary

“Religion and the Presidency”

Dr. Holmes’s lecture will be based on his recent publications: In "The Faiths of the Founding Fathers," an acclaimed look at the spiritual beliefs of such iconic Americans as Franklin, Washington, and Jefferson, he addressed the heated debate over the new nation’s religious underpinnings. In his new book, "The Faiths of the Postwar Presidents: From Truman to Obama," he examines the role of faith in the lives of the twelve presidents who have served since the end of World War II.

This lecture is free and open to the public. For more information contact honors@wright.edu
