Classroom Management Strategies for the Military-Connected Student

Led by Jessica Thiede, Psy.D, Program Coordinator, Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) Initiative, Cincinnati VA Medical Center.  A final session will allow faculty to learn appropriate classroom and clinical management techniques for the veteran population. Building on similar information from the previous sessions, Dr. Theide reviews the modern traumas of war and links them directly to classroom management strategies. In her role as the VITAL coordinator, she is able to draw on several tangible examples from multiple colleges and universities to share how other institutions have successfully managed to work with their student veterans.
