The WSU Chinese Immersion Day is a fun and educational event that offers opportunity for local Chinese language students to learn about Chinese culture and develop their Chinese language proficiency. Participants will pledge to speak only Chinese while participating in four workshops: Chinese characters challenge; Chinese calligraphy; Chinese culture Jeopardy and Chinese skits. The activities will be led by Chinese instructors in the Modern Languages Department in conjunction with Chinese-speaking community members, students and Chinese club members. Students will end their day by participating in the Lunar New Year celebration featuring professional Chinese artists and cultural activities organized by the Asian/Hispanic/Native American Center.
