Join the Women's Center and Women's Studies Program to celebrate the literary contributions of author and essayist Barbara Kingsolver. Kingsolver--who has penned 13 diverse books, including novels, collections of essays, and nonfiction works--is the 2011 recipient of the Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award, a prestigious Dayton Literary Peace Prize. In honor of her award and visit to Dayton on November 13, we will explore her works and contributions to peace and to literature. Whether you have read all or none of her books, this discussion will illuminate the enduring importance of her works. Presenters include Kelli Zaytoun, Director of Women's Studies and Associate Professor of English, Sandra Crews, Associate Professor of Theatre Arts, and Amber Vlasnik, Director of the Women's Center. Discussion will follow. For more information, contact the Women's Center at 775-4524.
