On the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's "handover" to China, Mr. Steve Barclay, director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York, will share his insight of Hong Kong's economic, social and political transition from British colonial rule to the People’s Republic of China.

Mr. Barclay is responsible for promoting and strengthening the business, trade and cultural ties between Hong Kong and 31 eastern states in the United States.  Prior to his appointment in August 2015, he served as director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney for four years.  Director Barclay has held a wide variety of roles in the Hong Kong government since 1979.
