The division of Neonatology at MetroHealth Medical Center is now accepting applications for the Chester Summer Scholars Program.

This summer experience accepts up to fifteen (15) medical science students interested in exploring academic medicine and research. MetroHealth Medical Center is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is recognized as one of the finest public teaching hospitals in the country.

Each student will work under the supervision of a faculty member on an assigned research project of their choosing. A $2,500 stipend is awarded to each scholar.

Requirements:

  • The student must have completed second year of undergraduate studies in premedical or scientific studies by the start of the Program
  • The student must be a resident of Ohio or attend an Ohio college or university
