Upper elementary, middle, and high school students in grades 4 through 11 are invited to enter the annual Ohio Mathematics Contest, which is hosted by the WSU Department of Mathematics and Statistics, organized by the Dayton Branch of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association The OMC is also supported by the WSU Office of the President, the WSU Provost's Office, the WSU College Science & Mathematics Dean's Office, the Asian American Council of Dayton, and the Ohio-Southwest Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, as well as various minority-community organizations in the Ohio Valley region (including the Greater Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton areas.) The purpose of the contest is to stimulate interest in Mathematics among upper elementary, middle, and high school students and to recognize those who exhibit exceptional talents in mathematical skills. The organizers and sponsors ask teachers and family member to strongly encourage their students and children in grades 4 through 11 to enter the contest. The top three students in each grade will receive cash prizes and the top three students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will win 4-year renewable scholarships!
