2016 Parents & Family Weekend - Check-In

Only families that are attending the Monte Carlo Night Event on Friday need to check in on Friday evening. Families who want to pick up their tickets early for Saturday and Sunday events may also check in on Friday evening.

Any last-minute updates for weekend events will be available at Check-In. Wright State students may check in for their parents and other guests by presenting their Wright1 Card.  Students and guests can also check in the morning of Saturday, February 20.

2016 Parents & Family Weekend - Monte Carlo Night!
Registration for the free Monte Carlo event is now closed.

Is your family feeling lucky? Have fun with us at the annual Monte Carlo Night, sponsored and hosted by students in the Residential Community Association. Casino gaming tables with Wright State Fun Money, plenty of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, and great music are all included in the festivities. Students, parents, family members, siblings, and friends are all invited to attend.
This event is free and online registration is required.  Registration for this event is limited to the first 150 registrants.

All Raider parents and their students are cordially invited to join us for continental breakfast immediately prior to the 9:00 a.m. "Living Like a Raider" session! Students, parents, family members, siblings, and friends are all invited to attend. Wright State students will also need a ticket for this event.
Cost is only $4 per person. Online registration is required.

2016 Parents & Family Weekend - "Living Like a Raider!"

This year we have presentations that you do not want to miss!  In the tradition of Parents & Family Weekend, we’ve invited two individuals who have it covered!  Our keynote speakers include the father and daughter team of Mr. Michael Bridges and Ms. Andrea Kunk. 

Mr. Bridges is the founder and CEO of Peerless Technologies.  He is also the Chair of the WSU Board of Trustees and a Wright State Alum.  Ms. Kunk is the CFO of Peerless Technologies and a Wright State Alum.  They are going to share with you in the way that only a father and daughter could on how they are “Living Like Raiders!”
These events are free. Online registration is required.

Breakout “Living Like a Raider” Sessions:

Employers hire top talent who not only acquire a college degree in their chosen discipline, but students who have developed work ethic, communication skills, the ability to think critically and who will transform the communities they will serve!

In our breakout sessions, you and your family will have the opportunity to listen to current student leaders and WSU alumni share stories about their college leadership experiences, how WSU is preparing or prepared them to be leaders in globally diverse communities and in the workforce.  These panelists are “Living Like Raiders” and are ready to tell you all about how your student can prepare to “Live Like a Raider” too!

Let’s get ROWDY and cheer the Wright State women’s basketball team on to victory! Anyone who would like to attend this event must also have a ticket to the women’s basketball game.
Cost is only $8 per person. Online registration is required.

Feel the Raider spirit and pride at the women’s basketball game! Join the Wright State women’s basketball team on Saturday, February 20, as they host the Detroit Titans. Tip-off is 3 p.m. Visit Suite 214B during the game for complimentary snacks and soft drinks! Online registration is required.

Basketball Ticket Information:

  • Women’s game only tickets: $2 each
  • Men’s game only tickets: $9 each
  • Children 2 years old and under are free.
  • Full-time WSU students: 2 free tickets with a valid Wright1 Card. Can be picked-up 1 hour before game time at Gate 9.
  • Tickets are available for pick-up during Parents & Family Weekend check-in or after 12:30 p.m.

2016 Parents & Family Weekend - Breakfast and Conversation with President Hopkins

Join President David R. Hopkins and First Lady Angelia Hopkins for breakfast and conversation. This breakfast tops off a lively weekend and is one of the most highly attended events of the weekend. Enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet and share in the excitement as the Parent of the Year Award is presented. All parents who are nominated for the award will be recognized. Wright State students also need a ticket for this event.
Cost is only $11 per person. Online registration is required.
