Orientation Fee Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay my Orientation fee?
Your Orientation Confirmation Email contained a personalized link to pay your fee online via a secure link. Payment is collected online for your convenience, and we do not accept payment at the door. Please ensure you are using one of the following browsers to view your personalized payment link:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer
What if I am unable to pay my Orientation fee online?
If you cannot pay online, a check can be made payable to Wright State University. Please enclose the student’s name and UID number on a separate piece of paper along with the check so funds can be credited to the appropriate student. Also, state what you are paying for (i.e. student orientation fee).
Checks can be mailed to the following address:
WSU Office of the Bursar
3640 Colonel Glenn Highway
Dayton, OH 45435-0001
Attn: Fee Payment and Deposit
You can also deliver checks to the payment drop-box located outside the Wright1 Card Office (055 Student Union).
Is the Personalized Link that I receive in my email secure?
Wright State’s TouchNet payment gateway is PCI compliant and secure.
Customers that use the Safari browser might get a message that this is not a secure site. This is because their personal computer is not updated with the latest Safari SSL certificate. If you get this message:
- Use another browser like Chrome, Firefox, or IE. Or
- Update your personal computer with the latest Safari browser root certificate.
Why can’t I use my financial aid to pay the Orientation fee?
Your Orientation fee does not qualify for financial aid use because it is a fee that occurs prior to your academic enrollment as a Wright State student. Unfortunately, the Orientation fee cannot be added to your Bursar account, but can instead be paid conveniently online or by check.
What does the Orientation Fee Cover?
This fee covers event costs as well as all Orientation materials students and guests receive throughout their transition, including during the Summer Orientation day, Fall Orientation Programs and on-going Orientation events.
What is the difference between the $25 Orientation fee and the $100 First Year Program fee?
While the Orientation fee covers all costs of attending Orientation, the First Year Program fee helps support First-Year Seminars, the Common Text Program, Tutoring Services, the Math Learning Center, the University Writing Center, and other academic support resources available through the Student Success Center.
When was I informed about this Orientation fee?
