Fort Hamilton Hospital - Stephanie Hubbard

Recognition Year:
2016

Stephanie Hubbard has worked at Fort Hamilton Hospital since 2011. Stephanie is a leader among leaders with a grace and generosity that others find infectious. She is knowledgeable in her field of nursing, understands the anatomy and physiology involved in the care of the patients, and helps explain to staff she is precepting. Stephanie is a member of the patient experience committee, where she assists her team members in learning about the importance of what ‘called to care’ means and what it looks like; she demonstrates this in her daily work. Multiple members of her team and interdisciplinary departments have said they love working with her. She ensures that patient preparation for the next day is completed in a timely manner, and she calls patients after procedures to check on their progress and addresses any questions and concerns they may have. Stephanie ensures patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are addressed and is a healing presence for patients. Stephanie earned her A.S.N. and is currently enrolled at Kettering College working on her B.S.N.
