Advertising and Recruitment Resources

Recruiting for faculty and staff positions can be done in many ways. One way is to post online advertisements. Other ideas are listed below. For more information or assistance identifying recruitment resources for a search in your department, please see the right side menu bar or feel free to contact Human Resources EEO.

Statements for Job Ads

The U.S. Department of Labor Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) published updates to Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503) and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) on September 24, 2013.  These updated regulations include a requirement to specifically state in job postings that federal contractors (this includes public universities) will consider all qualified applicants without regard to their protected veteran status or disability status.  Therefore the required statements for all Wright State job postings/advertisements have been updated.

The following is the updated required tagline for all job postings/ads (with the exception of job postings that have a line/word limit or pay per line/word pricing structure):

Wright State University, an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, is committed to an inclusive environment and strongly encourages applications from minorities, females, veterans and individuals with disabilities.

The following updated tagline should ONLY be used for job postings/ads that have a line/word limit or pay per line/word pricing structure.

Wright State University: AA/EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability

Please share this information with others in your division/department who are involved in placing job advertisements. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Human Resources EEO.   Thank you for your efforts to support Wright State’s efforts to comply with these regulations!
