What Our Partners Are Saying

"Just wanted to say thank you again for the awesome presentation this morning. The kids were a bit wiggly at first and you took care of it and pulled them in—kids were stopping by this afternoon to talk about not knowing some of the things you said...thank you for connecting with them." ~Sue Cheslock, Memorial High School.

Wright State is already partnering with a number of school systems in the Dayton area to promote college readiness.

  • Dayton Public Schools
  • Springfield City Schools
  • Jefferson Township Local Schools
  • Fairborn High School

Why Choose this Program?

Increasingly, students are setting their sights on college. They’re receiving support and skills to prepare them for success but recent data reveals they need more.

Nationally, 89% of high school teachers surveyed said students who finished their classes were well prepared for college work in those subjects. However, only 26% of college professors agree. Here in Ohio, 41% of high school graduates need remedial coursework in college.

Wright State University is teaming up with area school districts to help with a variety of workshops. Students will gain the additional tools they need to be successful in their college-level courses. They’ll also learn how to prepare for college life, and pay for college responsibly.
