The Enrollment Management Division manages the diverse responsibilities of enrollment activities across the institution through a collaborative team approach. The division handles the recruitment of new, direct from high school students as well as the strategies which support the persistence of our students through graduation.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions serves as the gateway for students to receive information about and acceptance into the university, providing awareness of educational opportunities, expanding access to higher education, and enhancing the diversity of the university community. The office welcomes visitors each day, offering group tours, family consultations, and an array of information services to prospective students. Additionally, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions coordinates or participates in several special visit days.
Campus Tours are given Monday - Friday at 10, 12, or 2. Special Tours can also be arranged at different times. Wright From the Start Days are large open house events. One is held in November and one in February/March.
For current and historical application and enrollment statistics, Institutional Research is available through the division of Budget Planning and Resource Analysis. State-wide and nation-wide comparative data are available as well.
The primary mission of the Wright State University Office of Financial Aid is to provide financial aid services to enrolled and prospective Wright State University students. Within this context, the Office of Financial Aid is responsible for the effective administration of federal, state, university and private student financial aid programs. All students who attend Wright State can obtain financial aid services through this office: undergraduate and graduate students; students in the School of Medicine, the School of Professional Psychology and the Wright State University Lake Campus. The major focus of all the services provided by the Office of Financial Aid is the recruitment and retention of students; both those individuals who, because of limited financial resources, would be unable to attend the university and those individuals who have attained outstanding scholarly/academic achievement. Among other services, the Financial Aid Office routinely offers workshops to help individuals file the FAFSA.
In the Registrar's Office, students seek placement testing, check class schedules, register for classes, check their grades, make changes to their address or other demographic information, request an official transcript, view the grade posting policy, or seek information regarding their academic status. Students and families can also get information regarding graduation, legal services, and health insurance for students. Many of the services available in this office can be accessed through the web at www.wright.edu/registrar. The Registrar's office also maintains information on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act known as FERPA.
During Orientation, students learn about course selection, academic advising, student services, and student life. They have an opportunity to choose a learning community, register for fall quarter classes, receive important computer account information,connect with current and incoming WSU students and receive their Wright 1 student ID card. We encourage their families to come along as we welcome the class of 2013 into the WSU community. Welcome to the pack!
First Weekend is about forging bonds and becoming part of the Wright State Community. FWI is a program designed for all students new to Wright State University. The FWI program assists new students with adjustment to college, achieving academic success, personal development, finding classes, and making friends.
When a student wants to be heard outside of the usual channels, the Student Ombuds listens. Resolution of a problem my come through a re-statement of policy to the student, an inquiry, or a reappraisal of the facts. The goal of the Ombuds is increased student satisfaction and retention. |
