While the 2009-2010 academic year at Wright State University has been our "Year
of Innovation," a highlight has been the creation of the Ohio Centers
of Excellence at Wright State.
On Monday, April 12, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Endeavour Room
of the Student Union, we will host a special event to introduce
the Ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge-Enabled Computing
at Wright State (Kno.e.sis). You're invited to join us for
the presentation. A continental breakfast is planned for 8:30 a.m.
Kno.e.sis Director Amit Sheth, Ph.D., is one of the most cited
computer scientists in the world and the LexisNexis Ohio Eminent
Scholar at Wright State, a position funded by the Ohio Third Frontier.
Dr. Sheth and his colleagues from four colleges will demonstrate
how their multidisciplinary center uses the latest
technology in semantic computing and Web 3.0.
Guest experts from Hewlett-Packard, IBM, LexisNexis, and other corporations
will be available for a question-and-answer session following the
demonstration.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, April 7, via email to jane.schelb@wright.edu, or by calling
(937) 775-5515.
Best regards,
David R. Hopkins
President, Wright State University
