of Science, non-thesis option) in Earth & Environmental Sciences in the
following areas:
- Hydrogeology
- Applied Geophysics
- Environmental Sciences
This degree program is designed for professionals who desire
a second graduate degree to re-train in applied subjects in earth & environmental
sciences. The program can be completed in as little as one year by the students
with a strong science background, particularly those who already hold an MS
or a Ph.D. degree with a completed thesis or dissertation, in a science or

water quality assessment, groundwater and aquifer remediation techniques, etc.
Program Details
- The standards for admission into the MS program with the non-thesis option
is identical to the standards
for regular admission.
- The non-thesis program, however, will typically require 33 hours of graduate
credits taken at Wright State University. The student's course schedule will
be finalized by filling out a Program of Study form, which requires the approval
of the student's advisory committee (a committee of 3 faculty members of
student's preference).
- The 33 quarter credit hours will include 6 hours of research (EES 799),
succesfully completed as a "review paper" in which the candidate will focus
on a topic related to the student's area of interest. The paper should be
developed under the guidance of the student's advisory committee.
