Fall Semester
- EES 1050 The Dynamic Earth, 3 Hrs
- EES 4440/6440: Geophysical Well Log Analysis, 3 Hrs
Spring Semester
- EES 3160/6160 Stratigraphy and Sedimentation, 4 Hrs

Research |
- Scales and Controls of Aquifer Heterogeneity in Sedimentary Formations
Facies analysis of fluvial and glaciofluvial deposits emphasizing the three-dimensional architecture of sand and gravel bodies and the properties of the resulting aquifers.
- Geostatistical Quantification of Facies Models
Improving the usefulness of sedimentary facies models as predictive tools by quantifying the spatial distribution of lithologies.
- Numerical Modeling of Depositional Processes
Reconstructing the hydrodynamic character of sediment-depositing flows recorded in sedimentary textures, structures, and sequences of structures. Nunerical simulation models provide useful tools to aid interpretation.
- Upper Pennsylvanian-Lower Permian Sandstones
Investigation of fluvial and tidal sandstones in the central Appalachians emphasizing the quantitative interpretation of ancient river characteristics and the controls of alluvial stratigraphy.
