Research

My general areas of research interest are geochemistry of natural waters (wetlands, lakes, ground water), application of light isotopes in hydrological and hydrogeochemical investigations, and environmental application of geographic information systems. Currently, I am working on carbon isotope biogeochemistry of an eutrophic kettle lake. The goal of this study is to quantify carbon isotope fractionation during primary production and to explore the issue of linking carbon isotope in lake sediments to paleo-nutrient level. My other study is on the application of GIS-ArcHydro and BASINS 4.0 to investigate the impact of land use and land cover on surface water quality of Indian Lake watershed in the upper Miami River Basin.
