Introduction to Nursing Informatics

Description: Introduction to trends and issues of informatics in nursing and health care with an emphasis on effective use of hardware and software in information technology. Laboratory experience included.

  • Windows 2000 is acceptable, but Windows XP Pro is recommended
  • Internet service provider and 56 kbps modem or broadband connection

  • Power Macintosh G4 550mHz
  • 256mb RAM (512 strongly recommended)
  • 10gb Hard Drive
  • CD-ROM (DVD-ROM recommended)
  • monitor capable of 1024x768 resolution
  • MacOS X 10.3
  • Internet service provider and 56 kbps modem or broadband connection

You will also need internet access with a 56 kbps modem or faster connection and a compatible web browser.
