Description: Financial planning and the family, with emphasis on aspects teachable in the K-12 classroom. May be taken for letter grade or pass/unsatisfactory.

Section Specific Course Description: Students enrolled in this course will explore and document resources available on the Internet and through resource agencies to aid in teaching family finance to

K -12 students. This course will explore topics like making a budget, the best way to pay bills, taxes, and whether coupons really save money.

• CD-ROM (DVD-ROM recommended)
• monitor capable of 1024x768 resolution
• Windows 2000 is acceptable, but Windows XP Pro is recommended
• Internet service provider and 56 kbps modem or broadband connection

• Power Macintosh G4 550mHz
• 256mb RAM (512 strongly recommended)
• 10gb Hard Drive
• CD-ROM (DVD-ROM recommended)
• monitor capable of 1024x768 resolution
• MacOS X 10.3
• Internet service provider and 56 kbps modem or broadband connection

You will also need internet access with a 56 kbps modem or faster connection and a compatible web browser.
