Specific Course Description: This
course will focus on two specific geographic perspectives--spatial
and ecological--to help teachers in grades 6-12 integrate economic
concepts into an existing geography curriculum. Students will
learn to relate spatial patterns to the interaction of living
and non living elements within nature and between nature and society,
using the perspectives of the disciplines of economics and geography
to identify and solve problems, ask and answer questions, and
evaluate the consequences of alternative actions.
