There are many ways to say welcome and at Wright State University, we want all individuals to feel that their unique perspectives, experiences, and talents are welcome at our campuses.

This site provides you with an update of the ways that we are working to strengthen our diversity initiatives.

Someone once said: "Diversity is something we all have in common. Celebrate it everyday." At Wright State, we indeed celebrate diversity everyday and the richness it brings to our academic and research enterprise.

I think we can all agree that the world is getting smaller and smaller, thanks to technology and the expanding global workplace. So, building a diverse community of learners—working and learning from each other—has never been more important if we are to prepare our graduates for the world that awaits them.

Nothing is more exhilarating than when I look out my window and see the diversity of our employees, faculty, and nearly 20,000 students.

Indeed, it is this interplay of peoples, cultures, beliefs, abilities, and life experiences that breaks down barriers and opens doors to new ideas and innovation.

So, when we say that we celebrate diversity, what does that mean? It means that as a university community, we celebrate the uniqueness and talents of each person who help make Wright State such a special place to work, learn, grow, and discover.

It means we are committed to providing a quality, affordable college education to all who seek to improve their lives and make a difference in the world.

And it is the spark that fuels our mission to transform the lives of our students and the communities we serve. By valuing and welcoming our differences, we can all share in the human experience.
