Ernie LaPointe is the great-grandson of the famous Hunkapapa Lakota chief, Sitting Bull. According to research done by the Smithsonian Institute's Repatriation Office, Ernie LaPointe and his three sisters are the only living relatives to Sitting Bull, the legendary Native American chief.
